I have a question on how the interaction between Gensai and the turtles shell. From the Ivory changes PDF: "Paying costs now only means one of two things: paying Gold to meet the action’s Gold costs, or bowing the card on which the action appears to meet its bowing cost."
So I assume Gensai's discarding of a card to make a range attack is part of the actions effect, and the order of resolving an action are:
1. Announce Action 2. Pay Costs 3. Play Interrupts 4. Resolve Effects.
So after I announce his action, and pay costs (none I assume, no gold or bowing costs) someone would have to play the turtle's shell before I decide if I want to discard a card for a range attack to resolve the effect? Or can they play the turtle's shell after I discard a card to make the range attack.
Daidoji Gensai Home Battle: If Gensai would be opposed, move him to the current battlefield. After he moves, you may discard a card to make a Ranged Attack with strength equal to the card's Focus Value.
The Turtle's Shell Interrupt: Negate the action's Melee or Ranged Attacks.
