March of the Alliance, post-Ivory

L5R CCG Rules board, 7 March 2014 to 21 March 2014

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 7 March 2014

With the "everything is an action" paradigm, does March of the Alliance restrict things such as Recruiting (with or without Proclaiming), the rulebook Cycle, discarding face-up Dynasty cards EOT (if this is an action too?), ...?

I'm going to tentatively rule this as a "No", as it's clearly not the intent of March of the Alliance. It does read that way under a literal reading of the cards and the Ivory rules, but I'd assume March is a card that Brook will reword so as not to break the game under the Ivory ruleset.

All the things you described are in fact actions now.
