Knowing weapons don't activate Hida Saiyuki's trait, is the same true of the +1F tokens attached to TSoS?

Those tokens give a bonus... to the item, essentially increasing its modifier. It still doesn't work with Saiyuki, you need to give the bonus directly to him, or at least without mediation of an item.

1-11 Yes, all these tokens are directly on the Personality, so Saiyuki would gain the bonus.
With Reprisal. Saiyuki's trait gains only an extra +1F regardless of how many cards are there in the unit because "for each" is meant to represent a single bonus. See here: Proportional effects using the term “for each”, such as “Gain 1 Honor for each Samurai you control,” should be interpreted as a single effect rather than numerous separate effects.
So if Saiyuki's unit has 3 cards, he gains +4F total (+3 from Reprisal, +1 from its trait)
