Faint Praise: Source of the Loss and Nexus of Lies

L5R CCG Rules board, 10 December 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 10 December 2013

If I play Faint Praise, and my opponent opts to play an action that would gain him honor, thereby triggering FP, what is the source of the resulting honor loss? Does the loss come from my opponent's Action? Or does the loss come from my FP?

If the former, would the loss trigger Nexus of Lies?

The honour loss effect is on, and from, Faint Praise.
