Can Fall on Your Knees negate Engage/Interrupt "reactions"?
Fall on Your Knees vs. Engage/Interrupt
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.
Engage and Interrupt are not Reactions, despite mechanical paralellisms. Fall on Your Knees has known better times.

I seem to remember somewhere saying that engage and interrupts were considered reactions. I think it is in the CoM rulesheet, but I don't have one right now to check.
If that is right, that should make Fall on your knees work with them, right?
Can Fall on Your Knees negate Engage/Interrupt "reactions"?
Engage and Interrupt actions are most assuredly NOT Reactions.
This is what the rulesheet from CoM had to say on the matter: The “Reaction” designator has been replaced with two new designators. • “Engage” means that the action is played in the same way as a Reaction to the trigger “After engaging:” • “Interrupt” means that the action is played in the same way as a Reaction to the trigger “Before an action’s effects resolve:” When an Interrupt refers to an “action” it refers only to the action that triggered it.
Engage and Interrupt replace Reactions (in the sense that Reactions are no longer being printed and their place in the game is now filled by these) and are played "in the same way as a Reaction", but are definitely never equated to Reactions.
