First off if I equip Wyrmbone during battle and I am sent home, can I use it to move back in?
Second, For the purpose of getting ring of air in, does Suitengu's Path count as a spell if I equip it during the action phase? Is there a way to make it count as a spell action?

Yes. The second action on Wyrmbone Katana (which I assume you are referencing), only cares if the Personality assigned, and doesn't need to to have been in the unit at the time of assignment.

Not quite sure what your first question is here, but Suitengu's Path is a Spell card, regardless of what phase it is. However, simply using the Equip rulebook ability to attach it does not satisfy the Ring of Air's trait for putting it in to play. In the same vein, the trait on Suitengu's Path does not itself make the action used as a Naval action in to a Spell action.
