If someone uses ring of fire or game of sincerity as an additional action and I use effortless to negate it will the opposing player's personality still be dishonored, not contribute force at resolution, or be destroyed outright? Effortless says negate the effects but I was wondering if killing the personality from ROF was a cost or an effect? If I effortless after someone uses Game will the opponent's personality still be effected by game's ability?
Effortless Counterattack vs Ring of Fire/Game of Sincerity
A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

Not sure I'm following. If you mean the Personality controlled by the player who announced Game of sincerity (as an additional action, in your scenario), yes, the performing Personality is still dishonored because the cost has been paid .
, not contribute force at resolution,
No, this is an effect of Game of Sincerity and it's negated by Effortless Counterattack
or be destroyed outright?
The performing Personality has had to destroy herself in order to pay the cost for Ring of Fire
Effortless says negate the effects but I was wondering if killing the personality from ROF was a cost or an effect?
The performing Personality has been destroyed to pay the costs of RoF.
If I effortless after someone uses Game will the opponent's personality still be effected by game's ability?
The effects of Game of Sincerity are negated, but the costs have been already paid. "Affected" is quite a bit too general and not much informative here; actions have costs and effects, and both cause changes in the game state of cards. However, Effortless Counterattack doesn't interfere with costs, only effects.
