Step Through the Void and game state

L5R CCG Rules board, 23 February 2013

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

I'm sure this is in the comprehensive rules somewhere, but I have no idea where. Sorry to use you as a soundboard:

Step Through the Void: "Battle/Open: Destroy this card unless this Shugenja is Void: Remove this Shugenja from the game; his attachments stay attached. Before this turn ends, put his unit into play, ignoring costs, entering-play effects, and restrictions."

When a card leaves play and the unit is bowed, when it comes back into play, does it maintain the old game state (of bowed) or does it come into play unbowed?

I assume it's the same answer as At Any Cost, but I'm unsure if RFG plays by different rules than discard.

Thanks!

Admittedly it took me longer than usual to find it.

The quote you were looking for is here: Cards, other than Holdings, enter play in the unbowed state.
