Temple Fortress vs Hachi's Revenge

L5R CCG Rules board, 27 December 2012 to 28 December 2012

A topic from AEG's L5R CCG Rules forum, copied for Oracle of the Void from a copy of the forum saved in October 2015, so pages it didn't save are missing. Players' names are left out; the rules officials are named. Rulings are as they stood on these dates; later rulings, the rulebooks and the Rules Archive may differ.

A player, 27 December 2012

Temple Fortress: After the first time each turn you bow this card: Gain 1 Honor.

Hachi's Revenge: Open: Target a non-Unique Holding: You blockade it. Bow it.

If I target an opponent's unbowed Temple Fortress with Hachi's Revenge, do they gain honor when it bows?

Your opponent will not gain the honor.

It is your action's effects that are bowing his Holding, regardless of who physically turns the card 90°.
