If I'm the attacker, and I have allies that destroy a province that I had no units at, but had an enemy unit there, can I still play Earth and Fire?
If you are the Attacker or the Defender, you are the leader of the army, even if you have no units in it.
And before anyone asks, only the leader wins the battle or destroys the enemy army or province, and so only the leader can play Fire or Earth.
